Craft
iWeb and Xythos were used in the process of making final changes and publishing the website. The process of publishing the site on Xythos was rather simple.
Composition
I wanted my site to be calming. The layout that I used accomplished just this. The colors were very cool colors (an array of blues, greens, and tans) and the fonts were classy cursive and classic standard fonts that were easy to read. The combination of the colors and fonts on my site made it very simple.
Concept
The concept was to display all of my artwork done in Visual Communication as well as tell the visitors to my site a little bit about myself.

ReplyDeletecraft: i love how colorful your blog is. it really shows your personality. each weekly entry has something interesting to offer, making me want to read the entry and also visit your website. i like how every week you have a different color for your font. it is unique, and not distracting, but just makes your blog that much more colorful and interesting. i like how big you made each picture in the entries because it helps them stand out. your comic seems cute with the cartoons and the bright colors, which also makes me want to visit your site to get the full story.
ReplyDeleteComposition: probably my favorite part about this blog is the links and the information along the right hand side. i love hangman and will probably play it after i finsih andpost this comment :) and with the view my complete profile, we get to know who you are a little better. and the question about the finals also shows us youre personable.
concept- the point of these blogs is to show off your artwork to your fellow classmates. with each week, we can see from your in depth explanations and detailed pictures how you did what you did, why you chose to do that project, and the challenges you faced while doing it. also, these blogs are supposed to express yourself as a person, not just an artist. with links such as view my complete profile and pictures of yourself, you allow us to get to know you a little better.
Craft: This site is very good! It is very colorful which really grabbed my attention right away. Every week she has a different color for her font which makes it look cool and unique. I like how she put many different pictures up of herself and others in her life. Her comic seems interesting because it is very colorful as well. It makes me want to view it now!
ReplyDeleteComposition: I really like her picture on the side of her with that crazy hat she has on ah! It stands out and seems like she has a good personality. The blog is very organized and consistant with everything. I like how she added different gadgets such as the quesitions and hangman. It is very unique!
Concept: All of the blogs are to show off who the students really are and how they are making their art work each week. These blogs are expressing each one of us as individuals and showing off our personalities.
Craft: This is defintiley the best blog! I'm guessing that Rebekah is no stranger to blogging and has probably had a blog before this class. If she hasn't, she really worked hard on this blog display.
ReplyDeleteComposition: Not only is the site colorful and clear, but the site has many different links. The site is very busy, but not overly busy. You can tell that Rebekah really cares about her blog by including things like a "Hangman Game" and also a "Finals Poll." These are two things that no one else had on their sites. that is why this site was able to catch my eye.
Concept: The concept of the blog has a really "girly" vibe to it. In my opinion, I think that girls would be more drawn to this site just because of the coloring used in the template. However, that is not entirely true because I'm a guy and it is in my top 5 haha! But its not in my top 5 for the coloring, its in my top five because of all the activity and different aspects going on in the blog page. The Hangman Game and Poll give the viewer something extra to participate in.
Craft- You have the most pink blog! You have gadgets and interesting things to look at. I am thinking you have some type of background in blogger.

I see a lot of consistency between your website, blog, and art work. If I had to guess someones art work or web page and it didn't say how it was. I could tell which one is yours based on your unique and feminine style
Composition: It is simple and easy to go through. There is a lot to look and and my eye keeps wandering looking for more more more.
Craft: The blog is very girly, which is absolutely not a bad thing because a lot of the blog I've seen are dark. It's really nice to see a lighter, more upbeat one.
ReplyDeleteComposition: I like the poll and hangman game that's on the side because it's more personalized that way and interactive. Interactivity is good.
Concept: The picture of her playing the flute with the quote on it (which is a link to her website) is very inspiring and I don't think any of the other blogs give that vibe off.
